72 Gratitude Affirmations to Supercharge your Day

Cultivating gratitude using affirmations
Practicing gratitude is a simple yet powerful way to transform your life. Scientific studies have shown that it can boost happiness, reduce stress and anxiety, and even improve sleep.
One of the easiest ways to add a little gratitude to your life is by using affirmations. An affirmation is a positive statement that you repeat to yourself regularly. So a gratitude affirmation is a statement like "I am thankful for my comfy bed." Saying these affirmations repeatedly can cultivate a more positive mindset and help you appreciate the good things in your life.
But when you're feeling uninspired or going through a tough time, it can be a struggle to come up with your own gratitude affirmations. That's why I've put together this list of 72 affirmations to help get you started!

How to use these gratitude affirmations

To use affirmations effectively, you need to repeat them regularly. Here are some tried and tested ways to incorporate them into your routine:
- Use habit stacking. It's easier to develop a new habit by attaching it to an existing one, so try repeating your affirmations after you brush your teeth or make your morning coffee. You can recite affirmations relevant to the activity you are doing (e.g. "I am grateful for the smell of fresh coffee") or simply focus on affirmations that feel the most meaningful to you.
- Write down your affirmations on sticky notes and leave them in places you'll see everyday. You can even try to match your gratitude affirmations to their locations. For example, "I am grateful for the stability my job provides" might be a good one to keep on your desk at work!
- Write your gratitude affirmations in your journal. You can write down your favorite affirmations in your journal and reflect on them. For example, if your affirmation is "I am grateful for TV shows and movies that make me laugh and smile" you might describe how watching a TV show helped you feel better after a bad day.
- Include your affirmations in your meditation. You can try picking a small number of your favorite gratitude affirmations and adding them to your meditation practice.
Final Thoughts
I hope the affirmations I've shared above help you sprinkle a little gratitude in your life! I invite you to choose a few that really resonate and repeat them daily to help you notice and appreciate all the good around you. I'd love to hear which affirmations spoke to you the most and how you are using them!
